ISL-4: Delhi Dynamos score a 4-3 comeback win over ATK!

In an ISL-4 match of two eliminated teams, the Delhi Dynamos came back from 1-3 down to score a thrilling 4-3 win against defending champions ATK at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Saturday evening.

Delhi Dynamos captain Kalu Uche gave the home side a 22nd minute lead, but ATK hit back and equalised in the 37th minute through debutant Sibongakonke Mbatha. At the break it stood 1-1.

There was much more excitement in store in the second session. ATK captain Robbie Keane put his side ahead with a free-kick in the 52nd minute and the Irishmen after putting the ball onto the crossbar scored his second of the night in the 58th minute and it seemed the match was over.

But it was far from the truth as the Delhi Dynamos made a remarkable comeback. In the 69th minute Kalu Uche scored his second of the night off a Seityasen Singh pass and it was Seityasen who equalised only two minutes later off a Lallianzuala Chhangte cross.

Now it was an open game with chances at both ends, but was to be the home teams night as Matias Mirabaje scored in the winner in the second minute of injury time for a memorable 4-3 win.
