ISL-4: FC Goa score a surprising 4-0 win at FC Pune City!

FC Goa returned to winning ways in style with an impressive 4-0 win away at high flying FC Pune City at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Pune on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts had the first chance in the 11th minute when a Sahil Panwar header hit the woodwork before FC Goa took over, but they had to wait for Adil Khan to foul Hugo Boumous on 28 minutes to get a penalty and Manuel Lanzarote gave the Gaurs the lead.

Marcelinho could have equalised just before the break, but an impressive Naveen Kumar in goal denied the Brazilian as FC Goa went into the break with a 1-0 away led.

FC Goa came out firing from the breather and after a couple of missed chances they scored their second in the 47th minute when Hugo Boumous fired home.

The third goal came in the 58th minute with Hugo Boumous laying it off for striker Ferran Corominas and the ISL’s top striker added a fourth on the day and his 15th overall just seven minutes later from a penalty after Sarthak Golui had committed a hand ball.

Things got even worse for FC Pune City as in the 80th minute their star striker Marcelinho was send off for a second yellow card booking on a wasted day for them.

In the end, FC Goa won 4-0 at FC Pune City to rekindle their playoff hopes.
