ISL-4: FC Goa’s playoff hopes further dented with late 1-1 Delhi Dynamos draw!

FC Goa’s inconsistent form continued when they conceded a late 1-1 draw against Delhi Dynamos st the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao on Wednesday evening.

The guests from Delhi had the first chance of the match, but thereafter the first half belonged to the hosts FC Goa but they couldn’t score of their numerous chances.

FC Goa finally scored and went ahead in the 53rd minute when winter signing Hugo Boumous scored off a solo effort as he made the run and unleased a long-ranger which went in past Xabier Iruetaguena off a deflection from Cichero.

The ISL’s top scorer Ferran Corominas should have put the tie to bed but missed a couple of chances before the 81st minute came and the Delhi Dynamos equalised through their captain Kalu Uche off young Lallianzuala Chhangte.

The final chance of the night fell for Mandar Rao Dessai, but like his colleagues, he couldn’t score and FC Goa dropped two vital points in their quest for a semifinal spot.
