ISL-4: NorthEast United FC & Jamshedpur FC play out goalless draw!

Day Two of the fourth season of the Indian Super League saw NorthEast United FC host debutants Jamshedpur FC at the Indira Gandhi Athletics Stadium in Guwahati on Saturday evening. The match ended in a goalless draw.

The hosts NorthEast United FC were the better of the two sides on display but either their finishing was not up to the mark or keeper Subrata Pal was in the way of his former team.

Meanwhile a lot was expected from newcomers Jamshedpur FC, but they showed that they will need time to settle down in the ISL while they also had their chances but much less possession than the hosts.

Jamshedpur FC decimated themselves in the 78th minute when defender Andrew Bikey, formerly with NorthEast United FC, was send off by the referee for a high foot on striker Luis Alfonso.

In the end all the above didn’t matter as the ISL – Season 4 is still looking for its first goal after 180 plus minutes played.
