The much anticipated southern derby between defending Chennaiyin FC and Kerala Blasters in ISL-5 ended goalless at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on Thursday evening.
Chennaiyin FC, who have been having a terrible ISL campaign, were the better of the two sides in the first half but especially Thoi Singh wasted numerous scoring opportunities or young keeper Dheeraj Singh was in the way.
After a goalless first half, Chennaiyin FC continued to be the better side but Kerala Blasters could have stolen the three points late as substitute Seiminlen Doungel hit the post.
Chennaiyin FC next host ATK on Sunday, December 2 at home; while Kerala Blasters welcome Jamshedpur FC on December 4.
