ISL: FC Goa extend contract of Morocco’s Hugo Boumous!

Indian Super League franchise FC Goa have announced the contract extension of Moroccan midfielder Hugo Adnan Boumous.

Hugo Boumous signed for FC Goa midway through ISL – Season 4 as a replacement for striker Adrian Colunga and he was a great addition to the Gaurs.

Boumous was born in Rennes, France and made his senior club football debut for Stade Lavallois in France’s Ligue 2. He then transferred to Moroccan club Moghreb Tetouan and played there under current FC Goa coach Sergio Lobera. The right footed midfielder was also called up to the Moroccan national U-23 side in 2016.

“I’m very happy to be extending my contract with the club. We are building a strong team and I am excited to be part of the future of FC Goa,” Boumous said.

The Moroccan made an instant impact last season and carried the Gaurs into the ISL semifinals, scoring twice and assisting two more goals in his short stint with the club.
