Indian Super League franchise FC Goa have announced the signing of central midfielder Lenny Rodrigues from ISL rivals Bengaluru FC.
31 year old Verna-born Lenny Rodrigues at the youth level played for Fransa-Pax FC, Salgaocar FC and Churchill Brothers SC. It was with the Red Machines that he made his professional debut in 2008 and successfully played for them for six seasons winning the I-League twice, the Federation Cup, and the Durand Cup.
In 2014 he joined ISL side FC Pune City and spend time on loan with Dempo SC, Mohun Bagan and Bengaluru FC before the Blues signed him in the 2017 ISL draft and was an important member of their squad.
Now Lenny Rodrigues returns to his home state and said, “It feels great to be back home and back to where it all started for me. I’m absolutely buzzing to play for a club like FC Goa and I cannot wait for the season to get going.”
