Together with Bundesliga side Bayer 04 Leverkusen, JAKO have presented the special jersey for the coming 2017/18 season. The new play wear with its blue design reminds one of Leverkusen’s most successful seasons ever – 2001/02. In the season, the Werkself caused a sensation nationally and internationally and reached the final of the UEFA Champions League.
The new dress combines the design from then with the modern, individual details that Bayer 04 Leverkusen and JAKO have developed together for today’s team. Eleven strips run diagonally from the jersey’s top to the sleeve. The dark blue polo collar with ribbed insert gives the jersey a high-quality character.
In the chest area the club crest with the historical structure is placed, in the neck area the lettering WERKSELF can be read. As with backnumbers and player names, the font is derived from historic Bayer logos.
The textile material of the new jersey will help the pros of Bayer 04 Leverkusen reach their full potential. The back of the top is made of ultralight polyester jacquard. The material is breathable and helps the players maintain an optimal body temperature. Further inserts are placed in the armpit area.
