JAKO launch VfB Stuttgart’s 2020/21 season third kit!

With the new third jersey, JAKO and VfB Stuttgart are taking another step towards sustainability. 100 percent recycled polyester was used in the match clothing and the matching collection.

White-red in the heart and all in green for more sustainability and environmental protection. That is the core message of the 2020/21 third shirt. The collection itself – jersey, stadium shirt and stadium jacket – is made of recycled polyester, for example made from old plastic bottles.

The different shades of green of the jersey symbolize its “green character”. As with the away jersey and the purple goalkeeper jersey, the Stuttgart city map subtly forms the background. The town sign and the coordinates of Bad Cannstatt are placed on the inside of the neck band.

JAKO CEO Rudi Sprügel said, “The topic of sustainability also plays an important role for us as a team sports supplier. That’s why I’m all the more pleased that we were able to implement this special collection together with VfB Stuttgart. We support the message behind it 100 percent. We want to continue working on this in the future.”

VfB Suttgart CEO Thomas Hitzlsperger added, “We are aware of our role model function. I am therefore pleased that, together with our supplier JAKO, we can set an example for resource conservation and environmental protection. The topic deserves not only attention, but also concrete action.”
