Jamshedpur FC launch their 9th Football School with Delhi World Public School, Dimna!

Jamshedpur FC launched its ninth football school in collaboration with Delhi World Public School in Dimna, Jamshedpur. The launch was felicitated by the Head of Grassroots and Youth Development, Kundan Chandra along with the school principal, Sanjay Jogai.

Kundan Chandra talked about the many ways the grassroots programme will help in the overall development of the school. “The key concept of the programme is to start nurturing the kids at the right age, through football. The grassroots programme in school shares human values and promotes the joy of practicing. Here we are looking to build the future of the kids, help them become more decisive. This is not only about physical development but psychological development as well. Delhi World Public School, Jamshedpur is fully equipped with the best infrastructure, making it the best place for the kids to get into the grassroots programme. They will be exposed to the best conditions at an early age.”

When asked about how much it will help the kids become a good player, Kundan emphasised about the exposure available in a school like Delhi World Public School. “From safe environment to variation in training along with more training hours, it will help the kids become more focused, serious. It will help them enjoy their surroundings as well as learn a lot.”

Jamshedpur FC CEO Mukul Choudhari is ready to start this new journey of grassroots programme with DWPS. “Nurturing the kids towards football, and an active lifestyle at such a young age is extremely vital. We are happy that our club has started the grassroot program in Delhi World Public School, and we are proud to have them as our 9th football school overall. To see the enthusiasm of children and more importantly of the parents is something that will make them great football players in the future.”

Principal, Sanjay Jogai of the DWPS, too is elated to be associated with a prestigious programme like this. “I am really excited to be associated with Jamshedpur FC. Students are thrilled and I hope this will help them improve their football skills. I hope that students will like the Jamshedpur FC Grassroots programme and there will be more joining in the future”. When asked the kind of expectation he has from the programme, the principal opined, “I liked the grassroots festival conducted by the club and the kind of communication they are doing with our coach is also commendable. This professionalism is what I want my students to inherit. I hope the children will learn professionalism along with the skills of football, and the discipline on the ground will bring in the semblance and discipline they need in their life. I hope the club and its initiatives will be able to create a wonderful atmosphere in the school.”

Jamshedpur FC currently have an association with 8 other schools who have the grassroots football programme up and running on full swing.
