Jamshedpur FC sign defender Jitendra Singh from Indian Arrows!

Indian Super League franchise Jamshedpur FC has signed 18-year-old defender Jitendra Singh from I-League side Indian Arrows. The youngster has penned a deal for a term of three years with the Jharkhand-based side.

Born in Kolkata, the 18-year-old has already represented the junior national team in the FIFA Under-17 World Cup which was held in 2017. He also has represented the Under-20 national side. He has been a part of the Indian Arrows squad since 2017 and already played over 30 I-League matches and as rated as one of the most versatile defenders in the country.

Jitendra becomes the fourth recruit for Jamshedpur FC from Indian Arrows along with Narender Gahlot, Amarjit Singh and Aniket Yadav.

On signing with Jamshedpur FC, Jitendra added, “I am really excited to wear the Jamshedpur FC jersey and play for the club. I would want to give the best for my team and for the fans. I am happy to be a part of the Jamshedpur FC family. I have seen the fans and I want to say that you guys are amazing. Please keep supporting us the way you have been. Without your support it’s not possible to achieve the goals for the club.”

Jamshedpur FC CEO Mukul Choudhari added, “Jitendra joins us with immense pedigree behind him. We are really excited to have him in our ranks. He is young and his development was closely monitored by our recruitment team. His ability to read the game and movements with and without the ball has impressed us a lot. We welcome him to the family of Jamshedpur FC.”
