Just Play Train the Trainer Course comes to India!

The All India Football Federation in association with Western India Football Association (WIFA) and Indian Super League club Mumbai City FC conducted the first ever WIFA-MCFC-AIFF Grassroots and Just Play Train the Trainer Course. An AIFF Grassroots Leaders Course integrated with the Just Play Train the Trainer Course saw 26 Physical Education teachers from Municipal Schools across Mumbai attended the course.

On the last day, a Football festival was organized that was conducted by the participants of the course wherein 220 girls participated on occasion of International Women’s Day.

Just Play is a development programme managed by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) that has been successfully running in the Pacific-s since 2009. Through the programme, children between the ages of 6-12 years, learn and explore sport in a meaningful way. The Just Play programme has been contributing to positive outcomes in the area of healthy lifestyles and women empowerment in the Pacific Islands. In addition to this, the programme is also making schools more attractive for children.

Maharashtra was selected as the state for the expansion phase of Just Play programme in India so tthrough this programme, kids studying in Government municipal schools will learn about Sanitation, Hygiene and Gender Equality with Football as the medium.
