Kalina Rangers emerge India champions of Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five 2019!

The Indian National Finals of Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five 2019 took place on Wednesday, April 17 in Kolkata.

The finals of the largest five-on-five football tournament in the country took place at Café Ekante, Eco Park in New Town, Kolkata. Qualifiers from 15 Indian cities gave their best to win the coveted Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five 2019 National Finals title.

In the final match, Kalina Rangers from Mumbai beat Underdogs FC from Aizawl in a thrilling encounter to be crowned the National Champions of Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five 2019. They will now get an opportunity to represent India at the World Finals of Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five 2019.

Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five 2019 city qualifiers took place from January 19 to March 10 across 15 cities in the country in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, Delhi, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, Aizawl and Shillong. The winning teams competed at the Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five national finals. Winners of the national finals were declared India champions and given the opportunity to represent the country at the Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five 2019 World Finals in Brazil in July.

India national football team goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu was present at the National Finals, sharing his insights with the participants.

I am delighted to know that energy drink giant Red Bull are investing in Indian football and giving an opportunity to young Indian footballers to play the beautiful game.
