Kerala Blasters sign India striker Halicharan Narzary for 2018/19 season!

Indian Super League franchise Kerala Blasters FC have signed India striker Halicharan Narzary from ISL rivals NorthEast United FC for the 2018/19 season.

23 year old Kokrajhar-born Halicharan Narzary started his career locally before he caught the eye on the national stage with the Assam Under-16 team and was called-up to the India U-16s, then he went on to play for the India U-19s.

In the 2010/11 season, he signed for Indian (Pailan) Arrows and stayed with them for three seasons. After his time with them he signed as a free player for IMG-Reliance in 2013 ahead of the new Indian Super League, but the league’s kickoff was delayed and he signed on loan for Dempo. He stuck with the former I-League champions for three seasons, while playing in the ISL on loan for FC Goa (2014) and NorthEast United FC (2015). He signed for NorthEast United FC in 2016 and spend two ISL’s with them while spending time on loan with DSK Shivajians FC.

After playing for the India juniors, Narzary has represented the India Under-23s and the India senior national team.

In the ongoing ISL-4, which has already ended for NorthEast United FC, Halicharan Harzary played 13 matches for the Highlanders, scored no goals as he played as a wide winger instead of a lead striker.
