The Goa Football Development Council distributed full football kits to 98 trainees of GFDC Vagator Football Development Centre who have been coming regularly for training.
Welcoming the gathering at the kit investiture ceremony, Sister Liberata Fernandes, Centre Manager thanked GFDC for giving opportunity to young trainees to learn football from such a young age and to provide them with football kits which is a major boost for them to train and play better.
Speaking on the occasion GFDC Member Secretary Alexio da Costa assured the young trainees of the commitment GFDC has towards them and will support every stage in their development. He further urged trainees to watch Copa America and Euro matches being telecasted on television to learn the game better.
Addressing the gathering GFDC Chairman Dr. Rufino Monteiro congratulated the trainees on receiving football kits which will help them better their game. He further congratulated the centre trainees – Pearl Carvalho who has been selected for the GFDC girls Pre-Academy and Ashita Gadekar for being selected for the Goan girls team and applauded the coaches Anicka and Sunny for working very hard for the development of young trainees at Vagator centre under guidance of Sister Liberata Fernandes.
