Leicester City & adidas announce multi-year partnership!

Former English Premier League champions Leicester City FC earlier in the week announced its new multi-year partnership with global sportswear giant adidas from Germany.

The agreement will see adidas – one of the world’s most famous sporting brands – become the Foxes’ Official Technical Kit Partner from June 1, 2018.

Proudly endorsed by some of the biggest names in world sport, adidas’s iconic three stripes will adorn City strips from the 2018/19 season.

Leicester City chief executive Susan Whelan said, “Our partnership with adidas represents a great opportunity for us to increase the reach of Leicester City Football Club, both domestically and internationally, alongside one of the most reputable and recognisable brands in the world. It’s not only an exciting development for the Club; but also for our players, who will feel the benefit of adidas’s commitment to high-performance; and for our supporters, who proudly wear our colours whether following the team up and down the country or from all four corners of the globe.”

“As we prepare to begin our journey with a new supplier, it’s appropriate for us to extend our thanks to PUMA, with whom we created history during the last five seasons – achieving the impossible on the pitch and producing the best-selling replica shirts in Leicester City history. We wish them well in their future ventures.”

Ashley Swain, Director of Clubs at adidas UK said, “We are delighted to add Leicester City Football Club to our roster of top tier partnerships across the world. Building on the incredible success and growth of the last few seasons we are excited to be working with such an ambitious club as they look to the future on and off the pitch.”

In preparation for the launch of the 2018/19 adidas kits, the City Fanstore at King Power Stadium will be closed for refurbishment from Friday, June 1. The new-look store will then re-open with a special family launch event on Sunday, July 1.
