Macron enters the fight against Coronavirus with project ‘Stop Covid-19/Macron #Noicisiamo’!

As a response to this moment of extreme emergency, Macron has launched the no-profit project “Stop Covid-19/Macron #noicisiamo”: the company is utilising its production and logistics organization in Asia and in Italy for the manufacturing and distribution of personal protective equipment, such as FFP2 and surgical masks, hospital grade overalls and gowns for healthcare workers, operators of the civil protection and for law enforcement personnel. For this project, the company has put its entire operational and logistic system to work, both in Italy and internationally. In less than 10 days Macron has activated a large scale production of several types of protective equipment that will be transported via special charter flights to the company’s distribution centre in Valsamoggia (Bologna). After that, the company will proceed to distribute the products throughout Italy. All products conform to the highest medical standards and certifications, and the entire production process is strictly monitored by Macron inspectors. In compliance with the new norms imposed by the Italian government, at this moment Macron is only distributing the devices in Italy.

“It seemed natural to us to offer our know how and supply chains in a moment of such difficulty for our country and for the entire world – Gianluca Pavanello, Macron CEO declared –in Asia, we have a well-structured organisation that is able to handle the production of various types personal protective equipment, items that these days have become highly necessary. As a result, we gave life to the no-profit project ‘Stop Covid-19/Macron #noicisiamo’. I am extremely proud of the efforts and commitment all of us have shown in this moment, and by the ability to promptly react to the emergency that has been demonstrated.”
