Maharashtra Junior squad named, win opener against Himachal Pradesh 5-0!

Mumbai’s Gaston D’Silva has been appointed captain of the Maharashtra Junior team that is currently playing in the final round of the 51st Junior National Football Championship for the Dr. B.C. Roy Trophy.

In their opening game on Monday, Maharashtra defeated Himachal Pradesh with the goals scored by Marc Dsouza (2), Sanket Salokhe, Kamran Ansari, and Alfred Negal.

Maharashtra would next face Tripura (April 26), Lakshadweep (April 28), and Sikkim (April 30) in their five team group.
