Minerva Punjab FC beat Youth FC 1-0 in U-18 Youth League!

Minerva Punjab FC, with a 100% win record in the group, took on Youth FC from Rurka Kalan in their fifth game of the U-18 Youth League on Friday, which was played at the Minerva Punjab FC home ground.

Minerva Punjab FC started first half strongly with most of the possession but without any success in front of the goal. Minerva Punjab FC controlled the game with their midfielders Radhakanta and Captain Shahjahan dominating throughout the game. Youth FC, however, kept it tight at the back without allowing Minerva Punjab FC any clear chances.

The second half started brightly with an inch perfect ball from Luntinmang to Chothe but the opposition goalkeeper Sandeep Singh was alert enough to prevent Chothe from scoring. Chothe, again with the help from Luntingmang, finally managed to beat the Youth FC keeper, only to be denied by the far post.

Minerva Punjab FC finally managed to break the deadlock with a perfectly placed through ball to the substitute Ajaruddin Shah who lobbed it over the Youth FC keeper Sandeep Singh to give Minerva Punjab FC the deserved lead in the 79th minute. Minerva Punjab FC kept the ball well for the remaining of the match with a chance to double the lead in the injury time but Luntingman was ruled offside by the referee.

With this win, Minerva Punjab FC maintained their 100% record in the group, winning five out of five matches and sit at the top of the group with 15 points.
