Minerva Punjab FC travel to Mizoram to face Aizawl FC!

Defending champions Minerva Punjab FC travel to the NorthEast to take on Aizawl FC in their first away match of the 2018/19 I-League at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Aizawl.

Coming from a draw against Churchill Brothers and a late defeat against Real Kashmir FC, the Warriors will look forward to climb up the table when they take on Aizawl FC in Round 3 of the I-League on Saturday.

Whereas, hosts Aizawl FC kicked started their I-League campaign with a 1-2 loss to Shillong Lajong FC followed by a 2-2 draw against Mohun Bagan and 0-0 draw against NEROCA at home. The Reds are currently placed ninth in the 11 team table and will look forward to grab all three points when they play Minerva Punjab FC at home.

Former NEROCA gaffer Gift Raikhan who is not heading Aizawl FC is well aware of his responsibilities and will leave no stone unturned when they play the defending Champions in their own den.

Meantime defending champions, Minerva Punjab FC will look well prepared for the clash with no injury concerns, Nigerian striker Philip Njoku who has been in hot form will look forward to threaten the home team’s defence. Coach Sachin Badadhe and Paul Munster may have not got the best start to the season but will look forward to start a completely new chapter when they take on the Reds at home.
