Preparations are on the way for the upcoming Mizoram Football Association Women’s League to kick off on February 19, 2019.
Eight teams will compete in the inaugural women’s league which will be played in Aizawl in its first season.
The MFA Women’s League Board will have a special selection of 32 players which it will assign to each of the eight teams.
This move is especially deviced as to create an equally competitive league as each team will have a chance to select four experienced women players.
The league, which will run from February to April will only boast of local players in order to create a progressive and nurturing environment for Mizo talent.
Team can register upto 20 players in their squad with a minimum of 16 each. The duration of a match will be 35+10+35 minutes.
