Mizoram Premier League: Chanmari FC fortunate against Ramhlun North FC!

Ramhlun North FC were made to settle for a point after a bright performance against Chanmari FC in the first fixture of the penultimate round of the Mizoram Premier League – Season 6.

A mistake from goalkeeper Sangpuia saw a tame long range effort from Rochhingpuia earn a point for the current MPL champions.

Ramhlun North FC were on top of their opponents for the majority of the match but were unable to break the deadlock.

Lalliangsanga and Lalramzauva were both guilty of missing good opportunities in the first 45 minutes.

They find themselves two goal up within a span of three minutes with strikes from V. Lalchhuanawma and Liberian midfielder John Kweku Ampong.

Chanmari FC pulled one back just two minutes later as Vanlalbiaa finished off a brilliant counter-attacking move.

It looked like Ramhlun North FC were on their way to a much valuable 3 points until Rochhingpuia provided a late twist in stoppage time. His effort from outside the box flew into the net after Sangpuia seemed to misjudge the ball as it bounced just in front of him.

Ramhlun North FC’s V. Lalchhuanawma was named man of the match.
