Chanmari FC passed up an opportunity to top the table after failing to overcome a resilient Zo United FC on Tuesday, September 27 afternoon.
Both teams looked vibrant as they started the match with Chanmari FC nearly conceding after an error from goalkeeper MS-a. Chanmari FC despite gaining an upper hand on possession, failed to conjure up proper chances, while their opponents looked threatening on the counter-attack.
Zo United looked like the side more likely to make something happen in the first half as Chanmari FC looked out of sorts in attack without the enterprising Fela Zote.
The second half saw a much improved Chanmari FC after making two changes at the break. This resulted in more penetration from Chanmari FC with Muanzova looking particularly threatening.
But it was not their day as they were thwarted time and again by the heroics of Zo United FC goalkeeper Lalmama, who was awarded Man of the Match for his efforts.
Chanmari moved down to second in the table with 11 points from 5 matches where as Zo United moved up to seventh spot with three points.
