Mobashir Rahman signs a contract extension with Jamshedpur FC!

Indian Super League franchise Jamshedpur FC has announced the contract extension of Indian midfielder Mobashir Rahman on a three-year deal.

Mobashir, followed his father’s footsteps who had earlier represented Bihar, and joined Chandigarh Football Academy in 2012. Two years later he was enrolled in the Tata Football Academy where he went on to win the U-19 IFA Shield. Mobashir was drafted into the Jamshedpur FC Reserves squad after he graduated from TFA and was given an opportunity to train with the senior squad for the pre-season which was held in Madrid in summer 2018.

After impressing the coaching staff during the pre-season, Mobashir was drafted in to the senior team for the ISL season 2018-19. He went on to represent Jamshedpur FC in 11 matches, mostly coming as a substitute.

On signing with Jamshedpur FC, Mobashir added, “This is my home, I have no words or feelings to express my joy of continuing with my home club. This season I want to play more matches and bring more joy to my fellow Jamshedpurians. I thank the management that they have been extremely supportive, and I am looking forward to the preseason. The dream is to win the ISL with Jamshedpur FC.”

Jamshedpur FC CEO Mukul Choudhari added, “Mobashir has been an integral part of the Jamshedpur family. His growth as a footballer has been very satisfying and impressive. As a human being he stands out with his discipline and work rate. We see him as the future of our club, we are extremely pleased that he will be with us going forward. We would like to him wish him the best for the upcoming season.”
