Coming back from an opening round defeat, Mohammedan Sporting Club thrashed Tollygunge Agragami 5-1 in the Calcutta Football League – Premier Division ‘A’ on Thursday evening at the Barasat Municipal Stadium.
Sheikh Faiaz’s 7th minute strike gave the Black Panthers a solitary goal lead at the half-time break, before Jiten Murmu (48th and 83rd), Dipendu Dowary (56th) and Debasish Pradhan (90+2nd) got their names on the scoresheet.
At the other end, Bijoy Mandi (87th) scored the consolation goal for Tollygunge Agragami.
