Mohammedan Sporting expects tough CFL match against George Telegraph!

Mohammedan Sporting Club technical director Raghu Nandi is fully aware of what’s at stake in tomorrow’s Calcutta Football League – Premier Division ‘A’ clash against George Telegraph SC as the Black Panthers returns to the fortress after two years.

Though, six points and six league positions separate both‚ but Nandi know they will be in for a war trying to beat desperate George Telegraph at their own backyard.

“This is going to be a tough match‚” Nandi admitted ahead of the clash against George Telegraph, who have their backs against the wall after losing their first matches of the campaign.

“It is normal to face teams that raise their game whenever they play against us. George Telegraph will be no exception. They are at the bottom of the table which makes them even more dangerous, as they will come hard at us for points. We need to stick to the basics to get the result,” Nandi added.

An underwhelming performance was once again enough for the Black Panthers to beat Rainbow AC last week, but they acknowledged that things have to improve in order to win their next match.

The Black Panthers currently at fifth on the log with six points from three games, and a win will take them to second but Nandi has revealed that right now he is not ready to think about the points table and wants to focus on one game at a time.

Although, Mohammedan Sporting lack the spark in attack, Nandi insists he has no shortage of faith in his frontline, especially Princewill Emeka.

A pacey and energetic striker, he has shown such poor finishing skills that have left supporters puzzled about his ability to spearhead the team’s front-line.

However, Nandi sees the situation a little differently and believes that Princewill will right the wrongs in front of goal.

While the attack has been very hit and miss, the Black Panthers defense has been impressive and they will be hoping for another strong performance from skipper Lancine Toure to keep the Stephan Harry and company at bay.
