Mohammedan Sporting trash Railway FC 6-0 in Calcutta Football League!

Mohammedan Sporting Club returned to winning ways in the Calcutta Football League – Premier Division ‘A’ in style with a 6-0 trashing of Railway FC on Wednesday evening at the Barasat Municipal Stadium.

Just two days after losing to Mohun Bagan ended the Black Panthers chances of winning a first CFL title since 1981, Mohammedan Sporting returned to winning ways.

Cameroonian striker Aser Dipanda Dicka opened the scoring with a volley in the 20th minute before Manandeep Singh doubled the lead in the 27th minute and it was again Dicka in the 35th minute who gave Mohammedan Sporting a comfortable 3-0 half time lead.

Thing got worse for Railway FC after the restart as Dicka scored in the 47th minute again to make it 4-0 and young Prohlad Roy made it 5-0 in only the 57th minute. Mohammedan Sporting were heading for a big win but they only added a sixth late in the match through Aser Dipanda Dicka, who scored his fourth on the night.

Mohammedan Sporting remain third with now 13 points from seven matches and next face Kolkata giants East Bengal on Saturday, September 16.
