MPL-7: Electric Veng FC beat Ramhlun North FC to return to winning ways!

Electric Veng FC got back to winning ways after succumbing to their first defeat in the league against Chhinga Veng FC in the last round as they came out victorious in an exhilarating match against Ramhlun North FC.

David Lalchhuanawma scored twice after M. Lalrintluanga opened the scoring to keep their side second in the table as they seek a semifinal place in their debut campaign.

An error from Ramhlun North FC goalkeeper Lalnunmawia resulted in M. Lalrintluanga scoring an early goal in the 7th minute which gave a bright start for Electric Veng FC.

But Ramhlun North FC threatened right back through Laldingngheta whose fierce shot flow just over the bar. Midfielder John Ampong also missed the goal by just inches a few minutes later.

Electric Veng FC capitalised on a set piece opportunity for their second with in-form striker David Lalchhuanawma knocking in a rebound from Ramhlunchhunga’s free kick on the 36th minute.

Ramhlun North FC found the net early on in the second half with John Ampong converting a penalty after just two minutes of play. Electric Veng FC then struck back for their third with David Lalchhuanawma finishing off a ball from Vanlalremsanga.

Ramhlun North FC lined up two foreigner forwards as they searched for an answer but were soon down to 10 men when Bamba Musah was dismissed for a foul.

Lalremruata found the net for them late on after Lalliansanga and Laldingngheta had failed to find the net after being put through earlier but it was too late as they were made to rue their missed chances with Electric Veng FC able to hold on till the end.
