Mumbai City FC have signed allrounder Souvik Chakrabarti!

Indian Super League franchise Mumbai City FC have signed Indian allrounder Souvik Chakrabarti from Jamshedpur FC for the 2018/19 season.

26 year old Kolkata-born Souvik Chakrabarti started his football locally in Kolkata before joining the Mohun Bagan-SAIL Football Academy. It was with the Mohun Bagan senior team that he made his professional debut.

After three seasons at Mohun Bagan, Souvik in 2012 joined Air India and a year later returned to Kolkata to play for United SC. In 2014 he returned to Mohun Bagan and stayed at the club for three years with on loan spells with the Delhi Dynamos in the Indian Super League.

In 2017, Souvik left Mohun Bagan to join new ISL franchise Jamshedpur FC and now this summer he moves on to join Mumbai City FC and there they will be happy to get one of India’s best allround players, who can fit in as a right-back, a winger or ideally play as a defensive midfielder.
