Mumbai City FC sign Cameroon midfielder Achille Emana for ISL-4!

Indian Super League franchise Mumbai City FC today announced on their third anniversary the signing of Cameroonian attacking midfielder Achille Emana for ISL-4.

35 year old Yaounde-born Achille Emaná Edzimbi started his youth career in his native Cameroon with Babimdi Douala before spending a season each at FC Valencia and FC Toulouse still as a youth player.

In 2001, Achille Emana made his professional debut for then French Ligue 2 side FC Toulouse and he would go on to stay seven years at the club. He moved to LaLiga side Betis Sevilla to spend three seasons in Spain.

Thereafter Emana became a journeyman, first signing for Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal FC, but then was loaned only a few months later to United Arab Emirates side Al Ahli Club (Dubai), where he spend a year and then was loaned to city rivals Al Wasl FC.

In 2013, Emana joined Cruz Azul of Mexico spending some time with Atlante FC on loan. In 2015, Emana joined LaLiga2 side Gimnàstic de Tarragona of Spain. After a year he left for Japanese J-League side Tokushima Vortis, but after no appearance in Japan he returned for the second half of the season to Gimnàstic de Tarragona.

Now coming to India, Mumbai City FC will hope former Cameroon international Achille Emana will add much-needed experience upfront to the creative line of the ISL side.
