I-League runners-up NEROCA FC have extended the contract of their captain and first choice goalkeeper Lalit Thapa by a year for the 2018/19 season.
33 year old Manipur-born Lalit Thapa stays in his home state with the team at which he made his top level breakthrough.
From NEROCA, Lalit Thapa had taken a transfer to then Goan giants Churchill Brothers SC and he would go on to lift the I-League title while playing for the Red Machines.
Later in his career he went on to play for FC Pune City in the Indian Super League and I-League side Sporting Clube de Goa before returning to NEROCA FC and helping them win the 2016/17 Second Division League and playing for them their first top flight I-League season.
Experienced Lalit Thapa will continue to lead NEROCA FC at the top level and will hope for another such great season under the bar.
