The Hong Kong National Football Team and Nike Football have unveiled the nations new home and away kits with Dri-FIT technology.
The new home shirt balances two shades of red, reflecting the team’s fighting spirit and paying homage to the Hong Kong’s signature color. Two odes to national pride appear on the shirt: the half-red and half-white crest, symbolizing Hong Kong’s unique “One Country, Two Systems” governing principle, on the chest and “Hong Kong” on the shirt’s back collar.
The sides of both the home and away kits feature a red stripe that runs the length of the shirt and shorts. Expanding when the player is in motion, the stripe maximizes ventilation and reveals a subtle flash of underlying white.
White socks, with a red linear graphic on the calf, finish the home kit and accentuate speed. Hong Kong wears red socks, with a white linear graphic, when playing away.
The 2016 Hong Kong kits will debut on-pitch in the international friendly game against Cambodia on September 1.
