Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan have confirmed the signing of 19 year old Nongdamba Naorem on a loan from Kerala Blasters FC.
Naoren was part of the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup and the youngest starter for India against Ghana. The young Indian international made his professional debut for Indian Arrows in the 2017-18 I-League.
The youngster created a lot of buzz among Indian football fans when he scored a brilliant solo effort goal going past five Shillong Lajong FC defenders.
After signing, Naorem said, “This is one of the best days of my life. Every kid grows up wanting to play for Mohun Bagan. Mohun Bagan is the perfect place for me to continue to develop as a player. This is an incredible and proud moment for my family and me.”
