Indian Super League franchise NorthEast United FC today announced the signing of their whole contingent of eight foreign footballers ahead of ISL-4 in one go.
NorthEast United FC have confirmed the signing of defenders ‘Sambinha’ – Mamadu Samba Candé (Guinea-Bissau), José Júlio Gomes Gonçalves (Portugal) and Martín Damián Díaz Pena (Uruguay); midfielders ‘Marcinho’ – Marcio de Souza Gregório Júnior (Brazil) and Adilson Carlos Tavares Filho (Brazil) besides strikers Odaïr Júnior Lopes Fortes (Cape Verde), Luis Alfonso Páez (Colombia) and Wellington Carlos da Silva (Brazil).
The players have been signed by NorthEast United with recommendations by the head coach João Carlos Pires de Deus, but all the eight foreigners would be an unknown entity going into ISL – Season 4.
