NorthEast United FC sign former Ireland striker Andy Keogh!

Struggling Indian Super League franchise NorthEast United FC have announced the signing of former Ireland striker Andy Keogh.

33 year old Dublin-born Andrew Declan Keogh, who started his career with local clubs Cabinteely FC and St Josephs Boys AFC before moving to Leeds United. He would make his professional debut on loan for Scunthorpe United before playing a match for Leeds United before moving on loan to Bury FC.

Andy Keogh signed a permanent deal with Scunthorpe United before moving to Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he spend five seasons but also time on loan at Cardiff City FC, Bristol City and a return to Leeds United.

Then he moved to Millwall FC with a loan spell at FC Blackpool. Then Andy moved to Perth Glory in Australia for his first of two very successful stints in the A-League with time in-between for Ratchaburi FC in Thailand.

In the second half of 2019, Andy played for Saudi Arabian Division 1 club Al-Qadsiah FC and now in 2020, he has signed for NorthEast United FC in the ISL.

With Asamoah Gyan ruled out for the rest of the ISL-6 campaign, NorthEast United FC will hope that Andy Keogh’s international experience will help the club reach the ISL semifinals.
