NorthEast United FC sign midfielder Simon Lundevall from Sweden!

Struggling Indian Super League franchise NorthEast United FC have announced the signing of Swedish midfielder Simon Lundevall for the rest of the 2019/20 season.

31 year old Eskilstuna-born Simon Lundevall started his football with local side Eskilstuna City FK, where he also made his senior debut. After three years at his home town club, Simon moved in 2009 to Västerås SK before in 2011 moving to Gefle IF.

Simon had his most successful time at IF Elfsborg from 2015 to 2019 and now at the end of his contract he leaves Sweden for the first time to move to India.

For NorthEast United FC, Simon Lundevall is the second winter signing after Irish forward Andy Keogh as they try for a late ISL playoff push with midfielder Lundevall expected to feature in Monday’s away match at ATK.
