Paris Saint-Germain to discuss America brand strategy at Soccerex USA!

Jerome De Chaunac, Paris Saint-Germain’s new Managing Director, Americas will be sharing insights into the Ligue 1 Champion’s approach to the Americas as part of a special international development session at Soccerex USA, November 15/16 in Miami. Jerome will give an interview as part of a series of discussions with leading European club representatives, including City Football Group’s Chief Commercial Officer, Tom Glick.

Since the Qatari takeover of the club in 2011, Paris Saint-Germain have gone from strength to strength attracting some of the biggest names in world football and dominating the French league. With appeal of being based in one world’s most glamorous cities and global superstars like Neymar, Cavani and Mbappe turning out in their blue and red, Paris Saint-Germain fanbase is growing fast and De Chaunac has been brought on board to spearhead their efforts in the Americas.

De Chaunac joined the club in May following 14 years in leading global sports marketing agency where, as Global COO he was instrumental in the agency’s expansion from two markets to a network of 35 offices in 24 countries, and worked on driving strategic development, network oversight, commercial growth and partnerships. In 2014, he was promoted to Global Managing Director role and moved to New York to grow the Americas footprint while continuing to oversee the global network. Now as Managing Director, Americas at Paris Saint-Germain, his role is to grow the club’s brand, fanbase and revenues in North and South America, leveraging both a very strong team on the field and a lifestyle brand, inspired by the uniqueness of Paris, off the field.

De Chaunac’s appointment is part of the Club’s ambitious global expansion plans that include the opening of new offices based in Doha for the Middle East and Singapore in Asia Pacific, as well as the ground-breaking partnership with Desports who now has the exclusive management of the Club’ Sponsoring rights and license rights in both China and Hong Kong.

De Chaunac will be part of an industry leading conference programme at Soccerex USA that is being developed in conjunction with an advisory board containing representatives from Concacaf, MLS and US Soccer.

The two day event will take place at Miami’s iconic Marlins Park and will comprise an exhibition showcasing the latest soccer business, performance and technology innovations.
