PIFA Women Champions of Bandra West FA Womens League!

The PIFA Sports FC women’s team lifted the Bandra West Football Association (BWFA) Women’s League Trophy 2018 on Sunday, October 28, while PIFA’s Pratima Mukhia was adjudged the Player of the tournament.

The league was conducted in the Mumbai locality of Bandra under the auspices of MDFA over a period of three months, with 15 teams participating in 4 groups.

In the group stage, PIFA drew their first game with Bodyline SC goalless, there after they beat India Rush Soccer Club 3-0 (2xNamrata, Radhika) and The Soccer Academy 4-0 (2xNamrata, Ananya, Sibani).

In the quarterfinals they beat Somaiya Sports Academy 7-0 (3xMuriel, 2xTripti, Pratima, Sibani), while in the semifinals they beat Future Stars Football Academy 3-1 (2xPratima, Rani)

The final match was played against Football School Of India (FSI) which was won 1-0 through a Sibani Sharma goal.

The PIFA Women’s team conceded only one goal in the entire tournament.

The team also kicked off their participation in the WIFA Women’s Championship with resounding 11-0 win over Bombay Gymkhana Club.
