PlaySight to Show off innovative new SmartPitch at Soccerex Global Convention 2017!

Technology experts PlaySight will be sponsoring SoccerMatch at the Soccerex Global Convention to showcase their state of the art SmartPitch technology and how it can be used by coaches to train their players with more in-depth analysis.

PlaySight SmartPitch technology is connecting the next generation of athletes while providing coaches and trainers with cutting-edge performance analysis and tactical tools. PlaySight is working with top clubs and teams across the world, and recently partnered with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim to bring SmartPitch technology to its academy and training facility.

With PlaySight technology, athletes and coaches can instantly access multi-angle 4K and full HD video during practice for immediate feedback and improvement. They can live stream as well use the cloud-based video platform to record, analyze and share practice and match footage for in-person and remote scouting, coaching and fan engagement, and PlaySight’s platform also integrates directly with tracking and analytics devices and wearables.

This represents a revolution in training methodology for clubs, as coaches can now show videos instantaneously to players and provide their expertise on a practice session in person, as well as use PlaySight technology to view performances remotely and give in-app voice messages, drawings and notes to coaches and players in academies on SmartPitches all over the world.

As part of the agreement between Soccerex and PlaySight, a 3×3 football SmartPitch, including four 4K cameras, will be installed at the SoccerMatch zone, and delegates will be able to experience this technology first-hand. Additionally, PlaySight will be discussing how their technology can aid player development with a Conference session based around the weekly routine of academy players in a SmartPitch facility.

PlaySight currently has close to 700 SmartPitches and SmartCourts around the world, and in a variety of sports, including tennis, basketball, handball, squash, futsal and more. In the UK, PlaySight has had its tennis technology installed at the All England Lawn & Tennis Club for several years, and recently partnered with Goals Football UK to bring the technology to 5-a-side. In the United States, PlaySight is powering over half of the top 50 NCAA tennis programs and has changed how the sport is practiced, played and consumed at that level, and expects to have a similar impact at the high-performance junior level of football. PlaySight is also working with top tennis federations and teams, such as the 2015/2017 NBA Champion Golden State Warriors, the 2017 NCAA Champion North Carolina Tar Heels Basketball and Alba Berlin.

“We’re looking forward sharing our SmartPitch technology with the leading football professionals at the convention this year,” said PlaySight CEO Chen Shachar. “What is different about our technology is that we put the athlete at the center – we offer tools for broadcasting, coaching and more, but we are focused on the athlete and his or her journey to the next level of football.”

PlaySight will be contributing to a thought provoking conference programme at the Soccerex Global Convention, designed to deliver unique business insight across a variety of football’s key sectors from stadia design, sponsorship, international investment, the latest in wearable technology and the rise of influencer marketing.
