Premier League return as partners at Soccerex Love Football Zone!

Soccerex have unveiled the programme for the Love Football Zone at the Soccerex Global Convention 2017 in Manchester – with the Premier League returning as partners of the zone where they will be showcasing the success of the Premier League Primary Stars initiative.

The Love Football Zone is the part of the Soccerex Global Convention dedicated to showcasing all that’s good about the game. Launched last year to great acclaim, the zone combines a mixture of presentations, demonstrations, exhibition pods and panel discussions from a variety of stakeholders, focussed onthe wider community impact of the game. The 2017 programme will tackle themes such as diversity, coaching, inclusion, the women’s game, health and major event legacy.

The Premier League will take over the afternoon of Monday, September 4 with senior figures including Head of Community, Nick Perchard, and Head of Sales & Marketing, Will Brass, discussing the launch and delivery of thePremier League Primary Stars programme and the role it plays in the Premier League’s marketing strategy.

Other content in the zone includes:
– Liverpool FC and The FA on coaching pathways.
– EFL Trust, Man v Fat and Healthy Stadia on Football & Health.
– Andrew Cole as part of Sports People’s Think Tank on addressing under representation
– Ex-England Rugby International Leon Lloyd from Switch the Play talking about athlete welfare.
– Alexey Smertin joining senior figures from the Russian Football Union and Street Child United looking ahead to next year’s Street Child World Cup.
– Terre Des Hommes, UNICEF and FARE discussing human rights around mega events.

The zone is brought together with the support of a steering group comprising Jez Weeks, Director, W10 Consultancy; Simon Lansley, Managing Director, ConnectSport; Jennifer O’Neill, Editor of She Kicks Magazine; and Daniel Wood, President and Founder, Freestyle Football Federation.
