Spanish LaLiga giants Real Madrid and China CITIC Bank have announced a collaboration agreement which will give rise to the China CITIC Bank Real Madrid credit card. The presentation event was attended by Real Madrid’s Director of Institutional Relations, Emilio Butragueño, the club’s ambassador Roberto Carlos, and vice-president of China CITIC Bank, Guo Danghuai.
It is the first agreement of its kind in the Asian country and is an attempt to strengthen the relationship of Real Madrid’s Chinese fans with the club. The card will provide exclusive financial services and has been developed using four different designs. Other advantages of the card are related to tickets for Real Madrid home games and the club museum, shirts signed by members of the first-team squad and the opportunity to meet the players in person, which is sure to be an unforgettable experience.

The agreement between the brands, China CITIC Bank and Real Madrid to create this credit card serves as a bridge for communication in an attempt to improve the relationship with Real Madrid supporters. It is also an innovative move in building the club’s presence in the Chinese market.”
In order to promote football in China, some 16 members of the Tsinghua University primary school football team spent time with Roberto Carlos. An agreement was also reached for a five-day football clinic to be run by Real Madrid which will give children the chance to interact with the club’s academy coaches and witness their advanced training techniques.
