On Sunday late afternoon with the first round of the regional cup (Niederrheinpokal) the new 2017/18 season kicked-off for my German home town football club, FC Remscheid, promoted to the Landesliga (6th division) against Oberliga (5th division) side SSVg Velbert 02. FCR suffered a 0-4 home loss.
