Shouvik Ghosh leaves Mumbai City FC to join NorthEast United FC!

NorthEast United FC have announced the signing of left-back Shouvik Ghosh for the remainder of the 2018/19 season from ISL rivals Mumbai City FC.

26 year old Uttarpara-born Shouvik Ghosh was a regular with the India U-19s before being signed by the Pailan Arrows (Indian Arrows) in 2010. After three years with the AIFF Developmental side, Shouvik Ghosh signed for Mohun Bagan AC. He stayed with the Mariners for three season, spending ISL – Season 1 on loan with the Delhi Dynamos.

In 2016, Shouvik Ghosh moved to NorthEast United FC and played ISL – Season 3 for them before moving back on loan to Mohun Bagan for the 2017 I-League.

Jamshedpur FC signed Shouvik Ghosh from the 2017 ISL draft and he made 10 appearances for the Steelmen before last summer shifting to Mumbai City FC for ISL – Season 5, but he only made three appearances for the Islanders.

Now Shouvik Ghosh returns to NorthEast United FC for a second stint and he would surely want to be a part of their playoff push.
