Striker Diego Costa leaves Chelsea FC to rejoin Atletico Madrid!

Spanish LaLiga side tonight confirmed that Spanish striker of Brazilian origin Diego Costa would be returning to the club from English Premier League side Chelsea FC.

Atlético de Madrid and Chelsea FC have agreed terms of the transfer with the fee to be in the region of 62 million Euros. The international Spanish forward signed his new Atleti contract after successfully passing the medical tests that he underwent in two phases: last Saturday and Monday. Starting tomorrow, he will join the team’s trainings, but he will not be registered until the next winter market opens on January 1 due to the transfer window being closed.

The striker was happy with by the definitive decision on the agreement and his return to our club, “I’m very happy to return home, I’ve always said it, Atlético is my home, I’m very, very happy.” In addition, he is already thinking of getting back to work, “I’m looking forward to start contributing.
