Superpower Football: IOA doesn’t want PIO/OCI representation in Indian Football!

The IOA doesn’t want PIOs or OCIs to be allowed to represent Team India but why are they against the AIFF and Indian Football?

AIFF general Secretary Kushal Das has recently clarified that he has only discussed the matter of allowing Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) to represent the country only with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and not with the Indian Olympic Association. The AIFFs statement came after the IOA President recently stated his opinions against such a move claiming it to be unethical. The IOA and the AIFF have not had a pleasant history. The IOA did not allow the Indian Football team to participate in the Asian Games in 2018 and called them incompetent of winning any medals which led to a war of words between the two bodies. Will politics and corruption hold back the growth of Indian Football or will the two bodies put aside their differences for the greater good of the country?
