Chennaiyin FC had a resurgent season this year that saw them astonishingly climb up the points table and into the top 4 after a rough start to the season. Chennaiyin FC’s campaign impressively ended with the club finishing as the runners up and there were many in the Super Machans’ squad that impressed the fans this season.
For Lucian Goian, one Indian player that impressed him greatly this season was Chennaiyin FC’s Anirudh Thapa. Anirudh Thapa plays as midfielder for both the Indian National Team as well as the Marina Machans and is a player that Indian Football fans expect to be a mainstay for the country in the years to come.
The CFC star affirmed that Thapa made plenty of progress this year and credits Chennaiyin gaffer, Owen Coyle for this improvement in Thapa. He felt that the gaffer was able to instil confidence in the youngster which then saw results being converted on the pitch.
