The AIFF Elite Academy defeated Dempo SC 2-0 in the ongoing U-18 I-League at the Duler Ground in Mapusa in Goa earlier today, February 19.
Both goals came in the second half for the AIFF Colts after a drab first half, which ended with a goalless stalemate at half-time and saw neither Team being able to pose any serious threat.
In the 61st minute, Bhutia took a short corner and passed it to Edmund, whose shot crept in from the near post to give AIFF Colts a solitary goal lead.
The Colts doubled their lead in the 69th minute when the goalscorer turned provider, as Edmund’s whipped in a cross which was tapped home by Roshan to make it 2-0.
Dempo SC failed to launch any threatening attack at the AIFF citadel and the AIFF Colts held on to register a comfortable 2-0 win over their opponents.
