U-18 I-League: Mohammedan Sporting settles for goalless draw with SAI (EZ)!

Mohammedan Sporting Club Under-18s were guilty of missing too many chances as they settled for a goalless draw against Sports Authority of India (East Zone) Under-18s in a Round 5 Kolkata Zone encounter of the U-18 I-League at the SAI Ground in Saltlake on Thursday.

Mohammedan Sporting were the better side for the entire game but the visitors could not translate their superiority into goals against the hosts, who were on the back foot for most of the game.

The draw meant Mohammedan Sporting are placed fifth in the table with five points from five games while SAI are third with eight points from as many games.

Mohammedan Sporting had a lot of the ball in the first half and created a host of chances but were unlucky not to take the lead. They had at least four shots on goal, but unfortunately none of those chances found the back of the net.

In the second half, SAI shut shop, allowing little space for Mohammedan Sporting to get the breakthrough as the game ended scoreless.

Mohammedan Sporting now face United SC in an away game on next Thursday, December 22 at the Kalyani Municipal Stadium.
