The U-18 I-League National Finals is slated to kick-start tomorrow, April 28 in Kolkata where 12 teams will be vying to clinch the title. 12 teams are divided into three groups with the three group champions and the best second-placed team will proceed to the semifinals and then the final will decide the eventual winner of the U-18 I-League 2016/17.
Defending Champions AIFF Elite Academy are clubbed with Minerva Punjab FC, Shillong Lajong FC and Bengaluru FC in a tough Group C.
In Group A, Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools, United SC, Salgaocar FC and Royal Wahingdoh FC have been clubbed together; while Group B would see Tata Football Academy, Shillong Lajong FC, FC Pune City and East Bengal Club face each other.
Kalyani Municipal Stadium (Group A), East Bengal Ground (Group B) and Barasat Stadium (Group C) will host the group leg matches while Barasat Stadium will host both semifinals on May 5 and the final on May 7.
