Bundesliga mainstays Werder Bremen and UMBRO have unveiled their new Home and Away strips that reminisce on the club’s most successful era – remembered for stylish football and strips to match.
In line with club tradition, the emerald of the Grün-Weißen is at the heart of the home kit, dominating the jersey with the addition of understated retro-pinstripe detailing in an optical drop-needle texture. The collar is a smart interpretation of the classic folded neck designs, with a tighter fit and brilliant-white contrast lining for a contemporary look.
A full-colour Werder crest sits proudly on the left-chest, as it does on the kit’s shorts, which are presented in white, with contrasting green side panels, internal drawcords and an elasticated waistband. Completing the home strip are socks in emerald green, featuring white side panels, cotton footbeds and cool-zone technology on the instep.
The away jersey comes in the traditional white of Werder, with tonal strips reminiscent of the now highly coveted jerseys of the 80s and 90s. Maintaining the vintage feel, a ‘shattered diamond’ pattern harking back to the graphic-heavy designs of that era, make up the sleeves, while the neck is presented in a classic ‘V-shape’ cut, with a bespoke sign-off on the rear-neck.
A tonal green design makes up the shorts, with contrasting dark-green and emerald panels and a full-colour crest, along with internal drawcord and an elasticated waistband. White socks with emerald side panels, Werder lettering on the rear, cotton footbeds and cool-zone technology on the instep, complete the kit.
